The problem

Consultants spent the first day of every new role reading hundreds of CVs before they could call a single candidate.

Applications came in through three job boards and the agency's own site. Good candidates were missed when the pile got long, and clients waited too long for a first shortlist.

What we built

An automation that collects every application, reads it against the role's must-haves and ranks the shortlist.

Each candidate gets a short, plain-English reason for their score, so consultants can check the reasoning in seconds. Nobody is rejected automatically: a consultant always makes the final call.

Before

Download CVs from three boards → read each one → copy notes into a sheet → rank by hand → send shortlist. Most of a day per role.

After

Applications collected → read and scored against the role → ranked shortlist with reasons → consultant reviews and calls. About two minutes.

“We send clients a shortlist the same morning a role goes live, and our consultants spend their time talking to people instead of reading PDFs.”
